When we recycle your old or broken computer, we make sure
as little as possible winds up in a landfill!
- Your old computer is completely disassembled into its basic components and
then sorted according to our recycling criteria.
- Any components that are still functional are reused if possible. This is the
most environmentally friendly recycling option because no further processing
is necessary.
- Metal components are sent to a scrap metal recycling facility. It is more
environmentally friendly to melt and reuse scrap metal than it is to mine
ore and refine it into new metal.
- Circuit boards are sent to a specialized recycling facility where
recoverable precious metals and other recyclable materials are recovered.
Hazardous materials are safely disposed of.
- Other components are recycled if possible, otherwise they are disposed of.
We actively seek new options to recycle other components in an
environmentally manner!
